USCIS is now accepting DACA renewals from eligible persons as a result of recent court rulings. However, with more court decisions still to come and long processing times, you cannot afford to wait.
Who is Eligible?
If your DACA expired after September 5, 2016 or is expiring this year, you can file a DACA renewal application.
If you had DACA and it expired before September 5, 2016 or was terminated at any time, you will need to file a new initial DACA application.
If you have never had DACA before, you cannot apply for DACA now under the January 9, 2018 federal court order.
You should not try to do this yourself or use a notary public, because time is of the essence and any mistake, however minor, could cause significant delays and you could lose your opportunity.
